Your Child Isn't Broken
When reading is difficult, frustration grows. Confidence begins to decline. School becomes harder than it needs to be.
The good news is that reading is a learned skill.
When we identify the underlying skills that need support and provide targeted instructions, meaningful progress becomes possible.

Our Unique ApproacH
Successful reading development involves more than phonics alone. Our approach focuses on four key foundations that help children become stronger readers and more confident learners.

Many struggling readers carry years of frustration and self doubt.
We help students rebuild confidence through positive learning experiences, achievable goals and consistent success.

Conversation, storytelling and language development strengthen reading comprehension, writing communication, and critical thinking.

Structured literacy instruction helps students develop decoding, word recognition, fluency, orthographic mapping, and reading accuracy.

Activities support attention, working memory, processing efficiency, organization and problem solving.

What to look for, and what to do next.
Bright Futures Reading Lab grew out of an effort to help my son learn to read.
We knew something wasn't right when he was four years old. Despite years of searching for answers, he eventually reached fourth grade reading at an introductory first-grade level.
What followed was years of learning, assessment, intervention, and growth.
Today, he is a college student who reads for enjoyment.
That experience led me to work with hundreds of students and families and ultimately create Bright Futures Reading Lab.
